How It Works
|
Step 1
First, as the original namer, you will fill out our registry form and email a high-resolution photo of the coral to be registered to registration@nationalcoralregistry.com
|
Step 2
In the second step, we import the photo into our unique software where it is placed into a frame and then embed it into the background of the certificate. At this point a unique NCRA register number is assigned. |
Step 3
In the third step, we import your personal information, including: A) your coral's L.E. Name, B) the coral name and species, and C) your name.
|
Finally, the certificate is emailed back to you and the hard copies mailed out
USPS unless other arrangements are made.
When the coral is fragged and ready to be sold, contact us with the amount of certificates needed, and we will provide specific registration certificates with individual numbers on each one. These are to be passed along with the corals as they are sold.
Available Registration Media
NCRA has different options available to farmers and their individual needs. We realize that a zoanthid polyp may not require a Registered Plug, but a $200 an eye chalice probably does. We offer Registration Certificates as well as registered numbered Frag Plugs WITH registration certificates.
| What does it cost? | |
| Original Farmer/Namer (1st Generation) There is no registration fee for original colonies Unlimited registration certificates for sale – NO CHARGE |
Coral buyer (2nd Generation and Beyond) $5 registration fee to cover fees associated with registration and database charges. |
Coral farmers will also be provided with various marketing supplies and strategies at no extra cost. One of the great advantages to the NCRA is the ability for members to be able to sell their L.E. Corals on the NCRA Market Place with no listing charges or selling fees.

This is the No. 1 auction on the Web for coral sales since
everything on here will be the best of the best L.E.s.
NOTE:
We are currently developing software so that farmers will be able to track their corals demographically and follow their "market." All names and addresses will remain confidential with the NCRA. This will be a unique and useful marketing tool, designed just for coral farmers to help strategist their marketing and sales.
What's in it for me?
By affiliating with the NCRA you are guaranteeing your reputation and coral's lineage. You will be able to project a more professional image while also getting your name out there. We feel this will also stop the basement chop shops from taking your valuable corals and exploiting them with low-ball tactics and giveaways. Once there is an established lineage with documents, it will go a long way towards keeping the values, names, and reputations intact.
The NCRA also provides a BBS site comparable to the great forums on the Web just for farmers, buyers, and hobbyists to have a spot to converge and share the hobby. This site also has private features just for the professional farmer, away from the public eye, to discuss corals, techniques, experiences, etc. These and a few other features will really expand each member's visibility and give them much more public exposure than they could get through other venues. We would like to invite you to join us today!
